EZBraces History
The Beginning
Twenty years ago, general dentist Mark Falke posed a question to his colleague, William Cabaniss: "If general medicine can develop out-patient surgery and faster, less invasive methods of treatment, why can’t we do the same for kids and adults who need braces?"
This straightforward challenge led to a whole new way of creating beautiful smiles called EZBraces.
EZBraces SORT4 Technology
Dr. Falke and Dr. Cabaniss looked into more than forty years of exciting research and innovative developments to identify the very best combination of many separate, proven orthopedic and orthodontic philosophies.
They identified seven specific components as the foundation for every EZBraces treatment. Called SORT4 Technology, these are:
- Space Creation
- Orthopedics
- Rotation
- Tip
- Torque
- TMJ (temporomandibular joint)
- Time
By carefully considering these for each patient, they are able select from a wide variety of treatment methods to quickly and effectively create space for crowded teeth, improve facial appearance, cosmetically position teeth, and improve the health of the temporomandibular joint.
What once commonly took two or three years to accomplish can now be done, many times, in just 12 to 18 months.
